Current staff and students of Queen's University are automatically members of the Library. Please bring your staff or student card with you if you wish to access any of the Queen's Library sites.
All QUB Library sites are now closed in response to the measures announced by the UK Government to limit the spread of Covid-19 (coronavirus). As a result, the Associate Membership Scheme has been suspended until further notice and we are not accepting applications at this time. Current Associate Members are advised that their membership renewal date will be extended accordingly in response to the suspension, ensuring you get a full 12 months membership.
Membership of the Library is also possible under the following arrangements:
Honorary membership is available to members of QUB staff who are over 55 years of age and have retired from Queen's University Belfast after at least 10 years continuous service. Honorary membership must be applied for within 2 years of retirement and will be given for 5 years in the first instance. Application for renewal can be made at the end of that time. Honorary membership is also available to honorary graduates and current members of Senate. Please contact the Associate Membership Scheme Office - email@example.com for the relevant application form.
Recognised Teachers (recognised by the Collaborative Provision Group) and Honorary Titles or Visiting Research Titles (approved by the Honorary Titles Group) will be issued a card by Academic Affairs on appointment.
Teaching Assistants should contact their Faculty Administrator.
Please note that non-members need to apply in advance if they wish to use the McClay Library at Queen's. Further information can be found on the Admission to The McClay Library webpage.
