Biomedical Library Refurbishment - You Said, We Did

In 2019-20, the library sought your feedback on services available in the Biomedical Library. We listened carefully to your feedback and the Biomedical Library underwent a refurbishment project this summer (2021).

In 2019-20, the library sought your feedback on services available in the Biomedical Library using a variety of survey tools.  A basic exit survey kiosk was positioned at the library exit so you could let us know if you were satisfied or dissatisfied with the study environment on that visit.  Biomedical Library staff also embarked on a roving survey throughout the MBC Foyer and asked specific questions relating to seating availability and services used in the library, and asked for qualitative feedback as well.

Using these feedback mechanisms, along with additional information derived from various other sources such as Annual Customer Satisfaction Surveys, it was determined that seat availability and lack of services such as study rooms (only 1 available in the Biomedical Library) and power sockets at all study spaces were issues that concerned you.

We listened carefully to your feedback and, despite a delay due to the pandemic, the Biomedical Library underwent a refurbishment project this summer (2021) and a new layout with additional space, in line with the needs you identified in your feedback, was developed.

  • Power sockets available at every study space
