Poster Competition

The Environmental Champions group based in the QUB libraries, invites all QUB students to participate in our poster competition. There are great prizes to be won!

IS Environmental Champions Poster Competition

Why take part?

In 2019, a QUB Library environmental survey revealed that many students were unaware of the green initiatives in place in the libraries. The most popular suggestion was that more posters and notices would increase awareness.

We have installed a “green” noticeboard in the breakout area in the McClay Library (beside the water fountains). Now we need your help to create some posters which will inspire others to be more environmentally friendly.

How will the posters be judged?

The judges will be looking for:

  • Theme – the poster should highlight an environmental issue or promote a green initiative in place in QUB or the McClay Library, e.g. water fountains, paper/plastic bottle/battery recycling
  • Creativity – innovative angle on the content or creative interpretation of the theme
  • Content – clear, accurate and informative presented in an engaging way

The Information Services Environmental Champions will shortlist entries and a panel of judges will select the winner and two runner ups.

The judging panel will consist of staff and student representatives.

What are the prizes?

The winner will receive a £50 Amazon gift card.

The two runner ups will each receive a £25 Amazon gift card.
