Queen's University Belfast, APC Expenditure Report April 2021 - March 2022
The Library’s Open Research Team has published, on behalf of the University, an Article Processing Charges (APCs) expenditure report for the period April 2021 to March 2022.
During this period, a total of 542 articles were made immediately open access via the gold route at a total cost of £204,401.29 (excluding other publication costs).
Points of interest:
- 542 articles were published with immediate open access between April 2021 and March 2022. This is the highest number ever approved via Queen’s Open Research team.
- 409 articles were made open access via Queen’s Read and Publish agreements. That number is equivalent to 75% of the total articles being made immediately open access during the period.
- The most used Read and Publish deal during the period was with Taylor & Francis. Queen’s authors published ninety-nine open access articles via this deal.
