QUB Faculty of Engineering & Physical Sciences (EPS) Santander:
Funded International Summer Programmes to China and India
Queen’s University Belfast Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences together with Santander is sponsoring scholarships for students to undertake international university summer programmes to China and India during the summer.
Previous summer programmes have included sponsoring students (1st year through to Level 3 MEng) to undertake a:
4 week summer programme at Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA), one of China’s premier leaming and research institutions to study the Chinese language, to learn about Chinese culture and international courses and engineering training.
- Mechanical Engineering students; &
- Electrical and Electronic Engineering students.
Two week summer programme at Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT), China to include: academic lectures, laboratory exercises, cross cultural seminar, cultural-immersion activities and field trips off campus.
- Electrical and Electronic Engineering students; &
- Software Electronics Systems Engineering students.
Two week Summer programme on the theme Incredible India at Manipal University, India to orient students towards India’s Culture, Society, Philosophy and Traditions.
- Chemistry and Chemical Engineering students;
- Mathematics and Physics students;
- Behavioural Science students; &
- Natural and Built Environment students.
Further summer programmes will be advertised as they come on board.
£300 student contribution, which includes visas, flights, airport transfers and accommodation.
Further contribution will be made by Santander and Faculty EPS.
