Outreach to Schools and Colleges

Students will attend outreach activities such as visits to schools and colleges, Open Day, UCAS fair etc. 

Their role is to discuss the real-life demands of the programmes with prospective students and give people an insight into life as a student nurse or midwife. 

This has been found to be an exceptionally useful recruitment tool, as many of the perceptions in schools and colleges are not quite accurate, especially when it comes to the recruitment of men. 

Each event is expected to be 3-4 hours in duration; students may undertake as many as they feel comfortable with.
