Coaching Qualification

Coaching Qualification

Are you the next Sir Alex Ferguson or Sir Clive Woodward?  Take your first steps in to the world of coaching by gaining a recognised qualification through the Coach Ed Programme at Queen’s.

There are over 30 courses on offer, delivered by experienced and qualified tutors.  Opportunities are also available to put your learning in to practice by coaching on one of our many sports programmes.  Gaining a coaching qualification is an excellent way to learn new skills, meet other students, build confidence and develop invaluable interpersonal attributes.

Professional attributes/attitudes:

Participation in a Coach Ed course will require the student to participate in a team environment and communicate very effectively e.g. demonstrating their ability to facilitate a coaching session as part of the course.

Coaching qualifications also require participants to engage with a wide range of people, plan and deliver sessions as well as lead others via coaching learning points.

Technical skills:

This would include email, use of web materials and competent use of Microsoft packages.

Business and organisational skills:

Particular reference to organizational skills via the ability to plan and deliver coaching sessions. These reflect the criteria outlined in the guidance notes.
