School Ambassador for the School of Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science
The School of Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science undertakes alot of activities each year within Queen's and also in schools across Northern Ireland to promote its courses among school leavers.
Examples include the Open Days in the School, engineering and computing awareness events, and talks and careers conventions in schools across Northern Ireland.
Many of these activities would benefit from the involvement of students currently undertaking these courses, as school leavers often like to speak to current students to get a better picture of what the courses involve.
Students would be required to undertake a minimum of 15 hours each year to be awarded a certificate to state you were an Ambassador for the School. You would also be required to complete a short report on what you have gained by the role and also recommendations for the School on how to better promote its courses.
All Ambassadors would be required to attend an initial training session before takling part in any activities to promote the courses.
For further information on this activity please email Gemma O'Donnell.
