Supporting Sentinus STEM Programmes as a Link Scientist or Engineer
A number of Sentinus STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) programmes require the support of undergraduate and postgraduate scientists and engineers. This support will take the form of visits to schools and mentoring pupils from both the primary and secondary sectors.
Full training and resources will be provided on all activities and expected outcomes. All link scientists and engineers recieve Accreditation Certificates in recognition of their input and committment.
Depending on the nature of the STEM Programme, students will be expected to carry out a number of practical school-based activities with the pupils. They will also act in a supporting role to pupils as they complete their designated project as part of the completion of the programme.
Link scientists or engineers are required to complete an evaluation process at the end of their project.
