Summer Studentship - Medicine, Dentistry and Biomedical Science
SMDBS offers 8 week summer studentships in both teaching and research centres. These studentships offer students a chance to gain valuable insights into basic biomedical research as well as the educational process. Projects range from molecular cell biology studies in cancer, diabetes and immunology to the design of new elearning material and curriculum development.
Students who participate in this program make a significant contribution to research projects and the teaching experience. Student outcomes include improved project management skills, insights into the underlying mechanisms of human disease and a deeper understanding of the medical curriculum. Outputs from the programme include written reports, oral presentations and poster communications at national and international research and education conferences.
