What do you need to bring? Full wet weather gear including waterproof jacket and trousers, boots and a hat. Packed lunch (optional as access to local shops in Portrush for lunch).
Description:This activity will be run by a team of experts from the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs at the Portrush Coastal Zone, Co. Antrim. The day will cover a range of topics relating to marine mammals including: (1) species identification and behaviour, (2) monitoring techniques (visual, photo-id, thermal imaging, satellite tagging etc.); (3) basic marine biology/morphology; (4) stranding and rescue protocol; (5) threats, protection and management measures.
