Skills for Change: Working in a Team

“Skills for Change” is a series of short skills development workshops to help you with the skills that you need to be a civic leader and to make a positive change in society.

These skills can be applied to any nearly all areas of life: volunteering, clubs & societies, employment and civic action!

All the sessions are interactive and filled with practical techniques and tips that you can apply to real world situations.

Each session will focus on a specific skill:

-         Time Management

-         Working in a Team

-         Project Planning

-         Problem Solving

-         Presentation Skills / Elevator Pitches

-         Negotiation

-         Effective Meetings

-         Managing Stress

-         Leadership

-         Dealing with Conflict

-         Communication with Others

-         Assertiveness

Each session lasts for approximately two hours.

This workshop is open to all students, but is especially useful to current (and aspiring) student representatives (Course Representatives, Club and Society Committee members, Student Councillors, Schools Representative and Student Officers).
