Chaplaincy: new opportunities at the interface between faith and society.

10:00AM - 12:30PM

Union Theological College, room 4

As Sunday morning congregations shrink, opportunities are opening up for an old, yet newly envisaged means of contact between faith groups and society at large. The Christian Church has been at the heart of chaplaincy for centuries, but not always in the most helpful ways. This seminar gives a little historical perspective but focuses mainly on emerging opportunities for Christian chaplaincy (for ordained and lay people) in a wide range of new and sometimes surprising social sectors.
