Computer Science Building
Queen's Computer Science Society are running the Student Led activity HackBelfast which is an invention competition where participants dream up ideas that they bring to life over the course of a 24 hour period. This can be anything from websites or mobile apps to robots. Event participants will then demonstrate their project to a panel of judges to determine a winner, with lots of awesome cash prizes and spot prizes up for grabs. We will be providing experts on the day to provide talks, workshops and mentoring! The event is open to all Students, not just those from Computing backgrounds! Engineers, designers, team leaders… feel free to come along!
Students in attendance of this event will develop their skills and knowledge in new and exciting technologies, languages and frameworks by developing their project throughout the event, attending the talks/workshops and networking with the mentors on site. Furthermore, they will develop their team work and presentation skills by working with new people from different backgrounds and via the domonstration required for their project at the end of the event.
