An Introduction to Wolfram Mathematica

17/05/2018 - 17/05/2018

2:00PM - 4:00PM

Maths and Physics 01/004

Attendees: 40

Wolfram Mathematica is a mathematical symbolic computation program, sometimes termed a computer algebra system, used in many technical, scientific, engineering, mathematical, physical and computing fields. Mathematica is able to solve analytical equations in one or more variables, integrals, ordinary and partial differential equations, simplify complex expressions, work with symbolic matrices, finding determinants and inverse matrices. Mathematica can be used for data visualisation and for animations, for optimisation, data mining and for machine learning.

This hands-on workshop is a primer for Mathematica and no previous knowledge is required. We will cover the basic tools for calculus, linear algebra with matrices and plotting.

This event is open to all Students.
