At last years event we ran a photo competition for students who had undertaken an international opportunity during 2017-18. The theme was Student experiences in another part of the work: faces, places and life outside of Northern Ireland.
We recieved loads of submissions but you can see the two worthy winners below. Congratuations Julie and John.
2 different students, 2 different nationalities and 2 different religions brought together by an opportunity to study in a unique country that raves culture, tradition and enthusiasm. After seeing pictures all our lives, we couldn't help but jump for joy at the splendor of the Great Wall.
Study USA Programme
This image is underneath a pier captured on Spring break at Wilmington beach in North Carolina, which in the States is the school break which most look forward to, as it is a time for new friends to travel and spend time together before final exams and usually is spent at the beach relaxing.
Erasmus Study Programme: University of Bergen, Norway
Bergen, Norway is one of the wettest places in the world. However, this doesn't stop the Norwegians running up mountains at every chance they get. This two day hike to Trolltunga was our chance to experience the Norwegian way of life, albeit, a lot slower.
Study USA Programme: Young Harris College, Young Harris, USA
The most memorable moment of my Study USA experience was hiking over snow with my friends in the middle of May, just to eat a sunset dinner at the highest point in Yosemite.
