What is it?

The Boston & New York Career Development Programme will enable 20 Queen’s and Ulster University undergraduate students to develop career related skills enhanced through on campus workshops and an international experience. This programme is for students that meet the Queen’s Widening Participation criteria.

When is it?

On Campus Workshops: 4 & 11 March 2020

International Trip: 4-11 April 2020

What to expect?

Through this students can expect to:

  • Gain greater career awareness
  • Develop a range of skills including communication, networking, team-working and
    interpersonal skills
  • Gain cultural and commercial awareness in an international environment
  • Visit international organisations and gain an insight into international work cultures and
    environments
  • Network with other students from both universities, alumni and other professionals in
    Northern Ireland, Boston and New York
  • Be an ambassador for Queen’s University
  • Achieve Degree Plus Accreditation

How do I apply?

Applicants must be undergraduate students, be in receipt of a full maintenance grant and
also meet one or more of our widening participation criteria.

Costs involved?

There is no cost for this programme. It is fully funded by Queen's Development and Alumni Relations Office and the Widening Participation Unit.

Students are advised to budget £20 per day for subsistence costs.
