Undertake leadership training at Queen's followed by a week-long visit to an international destination to meet with Queen's alumni and senior professionals Development Weeks 2019 

MEDIA Programme *

Media Employability Development in Action
A one year practical employability programme producing a campus careers communications channel for students.

Year-round. Applications in Semester 2

Bioscience Workplace Study Tour

Travel with a group of other students from the School of Biological Sciences to visit a variety of employers in linked with the Life Science industry in the Oxford and Cambridge area.

Applications in Semester 2.
International Students Employability Programme’*

Three individual interactive workshops, designed specifically for international students.
Attendance and participation at all three workshops will give Degree Plus Route B accreditation.

Innovation Bootcamp

A different kind of work experience! Through this fun, interactive programme you will work with other students and business representatives to solve a real business problem using Design Thinking methodology.

Leadership in Practice (LiP)

LEADERSHIP IN PRACTICE is a personal development programme delivered by Queen’s University Officer Training Corps (QUOTC)
The course is designed to give you the relevant skills to support you in your time at university and also increase your employability. You will develop;

  • Effective Time Management

Development weeks
Careers in Law Insight Programme

3 day programme consists of structured visits and workplace insights in Belfast. Students have the opportunity to connect with employers and explore career options related to solicitor, barrister and graduate legal roles eg legal professional.

  • Get insight into training pathways in Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland and England &Wales
  • Hear from barristers and solicitors from a variety of practice areas including human rights, commercial, family and defence litigation
  • Network with senior professionals, recent graduates and alumni
  • Find out about summer internships, placements, vacation schemes and training contracts
  • Get valuable tips from recruiters and improve the quality of your applications to firms
  • Join like-minded students in this unique insight into the work/life balance of lawyers and barristers
  • Develop your employability skills through designing and delivering a post tour dissemination event to share your experience
Brussels Workplace Study Tour

Spend five days in Brussels visiting a range of EU Institutions and employer workplaces.

Through this PROGRAMME you can expect to:
