International students at Queen’s hone their ‘elevator pitch’ at Business Breakfast

Queen's University and the Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce and Industry held a Business Insight Breakfast for International Students at in the Canada Room at Queen’s on 14 February.

The event was an opportunity for international students to network with a host of local and international employers including Devenish Nutrition & NIE Networks.

Facilitated by Queen’s Careers, Employability and Skills service who run the University’s International Student Employability Programme (ISEP), participating students were invited to practice their elevator pitch through a series of breakout sessions.

Lynsey Foster, International Trade Manager at the Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Deirdre Lynskey, Student Development Manager within Careers, Employability and Skills at Queen’s opened the event. Students also heard from Lisa James from Devenish Nutrition and Kerri Pollock from NIE Networks.
