Information for Students
The Autumn Careers Fair will take place on Tuesday 18 October 2022, 11am – 3pm.
This exciting event will be a hybrid fair, offering the best of both worlds. You will have the opportunity to meet employers live on campus and also online via our Graduateland Platform. This is a great place to find out more about graduate, placement and work experience roles.
If you haven’t yet secured your graduate role or placement or simply want to find out what work experience opportunities are available to you, this event will showcase graduate jobs, placements, internships, voluntary work, year-long and short-term placements, summer work as well as work and study abroad opportunities in 2023, so don’t miss out!
Accessing the Fair
You can attend the Fair in person or log on from home.
Alternatively, you can access the Fair on-the-go via the Graduateland app. What's more, there are plenty of collaborative spaces in and around One Elmwood where you can log on and scope out the virtual event to plan who to speak to in-person. You'll see QR codes displayed on employer stalls at the live event - this will allow you to continue any in-person chats on the virtual platform.
Please note, due to capacity at the live event, not every employer at the virtual event will be at the live Fair, so log on to experience the Fair in full.
This will allow you not only to plan your visit, but to ensure you can continue any recruiter interactions after the live Fair closes.
You can attend the Fair in person between 11am-3pm at the Mandela Hall, the Whitla Hall and the South Dining Hall.
On the day there will be over 100 exhibitors located around. We recommend you visit all three locations so get the most from the live event. (Pst! There will also be top prizes on offer for students who manage to visit all three locations!)
Log on before you attend the Fair in person
All Fair Participants should access the Fair virtually. If you have never attended a virtual careers fair before, our event platform has plenty of resources to help you. From how to set up your profile to video walk throughs of what to expect inside the fair and tips on how to interact with employers, the resource centre has everything you need to prepare and make the most of the fair.
On 10 October 2022 you will have access to the event lobby to:
- Research Employers, browse Jobs and refine your profile to ensure your skills match
- Request interview slots from those employers offering them
- Follow Employers to ensure you receive alerts
