The Spring Recruitment Fair is the flagship event of our Spring Careers Festival 2022.
This event will take place on Wednesday 9 February 2022 from 2pm – 6pm online on our Graduateland Platform and offers a great opportunity to virtually chat with employers to find out more about graduate, placement and work experience roles.
If you haven’t yet secured you graduate role or placement or simply want to find out what work experience opportunities are available to you, this online event will showcase graduate jobs, placements, internships, voluntary work, year-long and short-term placements, summer work as well as work and study abroad opportunities in 2022, don’t miss out!

If you have never attended a virtual careers fair before, our event platform has plenty of resources to help you. From how to set up your profile to video walk throughs of what to expect inside the fair and tips on how to interact with employers, this resource centre has everything you need to prepare and make the most of the fair.

On 29 January you will have access to the event lobby to:
- Research Employers, browse Jobs and refine your profile to ensure your skills match
- Request interview slots from those employers offering them
- Follow Employers to ensure you receive alerts
The following checklist will ensure you get the most out of the event platform and help you prepare for when our virtual doors open on 9 February 2022.
Students’ Checklist
This is your chance to stand out to key employers and discover amazing graduate jobs, placement and work experience opportunities for every stage of study. The steps to success are simple:
- Step 1: Register for the event
When: December 2021 onwards
How: You will see the event listed through the Graduateland platform, if you have an existing profile on this platform, simply book to attend the event. If you are new to the platform complete the short registration form before booking for the event. Please use your Queen’s University email address. - Step 2: Fill in/update your online profile
When: December 2021/January 2022
How: Through the Graduateland platform, you can continue to update your online profile before and even during the event. Giving more detail will make it easier for the right employers to connect with you. - Step 3: Check out exhibitors
When: 28 January 2022
How: The event lobby will go live before the event allowing you to view employer profiles, follow employers, browse and apply for jobs and request appointments for video conversations in advance. - Step 4: Prepare to succeed
When: 1 February 2022
How: Join us for a series of events to help you prepare for the Fair. Check out the full programme of Activity on the Spring Careers Fair Festival website. - Step 5: Refine your profile
When: February 2022
How: Add skills up to and even during the event. The indicator will tell you when your profile is green and close to 100% complete (you can opt to leave age and gender fields blank). You can add skills based on what the employers are looking for. Your profile information will help sort the employers into the most relevant for you. - Step 6: Find opportunities
When: 9 February 2022
How: At the event, you will be able to live chat or video call with employers and ask them about opportunities relevant to you, from summer internships to placements and graduate opportunities starting in 2022. - Step 7: Experience More

How: The event lobby will remain open after the event. Remember: you can search for opportunities and apply for jobs in MyFuture all year round.
