The Who Cares? Trust launches new helpline to support children in care and care leavers
The Who Cares? Trust is proud to announce the launch of the Care Advice Line, a new service providing advice and information to children in care or care-experienced young adults from across the UK.
The past five years has seen The Who Cares? Trust’s direct work with children and young people from care expand significantly.
The organisation is well-known among this community for its magazines Who Cares? and Who Cares? Junior and its role organising the All Party Parliamentary Group for Looked After Children and Care Leavers. For some time now, young people from around the UK have been turning to The Who Cares? Trust for help and advice about the things that are important to them.
In response to the growing number of requests for help, the Trust has launched the Care Advice Line, which will provide free and confidential advice, information and signposting via email and phone. Support will be provided across a range of issues that affect the lives of these young people, such as the care system and how it works, housing, managing money and the rights to which they are entitled.
