Dr Valerie Holmes is a Senior Lecturer with the Centre for Public Health, Queen’s University Belfast. Valerie’s major research interests focus on improving maternal and neonatal outcomes for women with diabetes.

Professor Fiona Alderdice is Chair of Perinatal Health and Wellbeing and Director of Research at the School of Nursing & Midwifery, Queen’s University Belfast. She also leads the maternal and child health research cluster within the School. Her research interests include complex pregnancy, the follow up of infants admitted to neonatal intensive care and perinatal psychology.

Dr Aisling Gough is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Public Health, Queen’s University Belfast. Aisling’s main research interests include maternal health and neonatal outcomes, follow up of preterm infants and those with neonatal respiratory distress.

Dr Michelle Spence is a Research Fellow at the Institute for Global Food Security, Queen’s University Belfast. Michelle’s research interests are in relation to investigating how diet may affect disease risk (particularly diabetes and obesity), understanding nutrition-related consumer behaviour, and exploring novel approaches to promote dietary and lifestyle behaviour change.
