It is the annual event of the European ICU Recovery Network. The ICU Recovery Network is an international, multidisciplinary and multi-professional organization with more than 900 members representing all five continents, founded in 2011.
It is open to all ICU staff, including doctors, rehabilitation physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, speech therapists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, dietitians, psychologists and social workers.
The conference will take place at Queen’s University Belfast in the Sir William Whitla Hall which is situated right at the heart of the University campus beside the iconic Lanyon Building.
The theme for this 8th edition of the conference is ‘Communicating, Connecting, Collaborating’. After a very challenging few years, we are looking forward to the opportunity of meeting again at this conference to share our practice and experience in delivering care for our critically ill patients.
We have all had to adapt to new ways of working, as well as consider opportunities for growth and development. This is reflected in the theme of this year’s conference – the importance of communication, connection, and collaboration, with patients, within teams, and across services, and how optimising these can foster innovative and enhanced approaches to our practice, not just locally, but nationally and internationally as well.
