Innovation for Community Impact is a deep dive into Social Innovation. It’s a highly interactive, collaborative, action learning experience in which Queen’s University Belfast postgraduate students will engage with community partners and each other to explore and co-design solutions to real community-based challenges in North Belfast.

This programme will take place both in the Graduate School and working in the community in North Belfast.

About the Facilitators

This programme will be co-delivered by Claire Harris and Peter Worth. Claire Harris is the Impact and Innovation Consultant in the Graduate School. She has long-standing, hands-on experience of developing sustainable solutions and skills in innovation and enterprise for local and global communities traditionally on the margins of such activity. As co-founder and director of her own social enterprise, Tell it in Colour, and a board member of the Community Relations Council, Claire has not only the theoretical understanding, but also the practical experience of leading a transformative agenda in the field of social enterprise. She has been recognised for this contribution in a number of ways, including being named as one of the top Northern Ireland 40 under 40s by Business First, and nominated as a World Economic Forum Global Shaper.

Peter Worth, Learning Experience Design Consultant, is an experienced educator, leadership coach, learning designer, workshop facilitator, and researcher. A creative and analytical thinker, Peter is always looking to collaborate with great people doing interesting work in the service of meaningful learning experiences.
