The third of a series of three webinars aimed at helping you to understand the key processes in successful project management, from initiation to delivery.
During the third session of this series, this webinar looks at the process of creating a rigorous and robust project plan. Having defined the purpose, requirements and expectations in previous webinars, we now look at identifying the tasks required to complete the project, before considering sequencing and scheduling the activities. It examines methods of estimation in an uncertain environment before considering appropriate resource planning.
By the end of this 2 hour webinar participants will have:
• Been introduced the work breakdown structure tool which is fundamental in the planning process
• Considered methods that allow the introduction of uncertainty into task estimates
• Been shown sequencing and resourcing techniques, and how to create a Gantt chart “properly” so it becomes a useful tool and not just a paper exercise!
Prerequisites: Introduction to Project Planning Part 1: Establishing Foundations and Introduction to Project Planning* (Part 2): Scoping the Project (preferred)
