During this four day, in person programme in the Graduate School, you will have the opportunity to build on your employability skills. The programme will cover everything you need to consider when applying for jobs, from your CV, a strategy for competency based questions, right through to carrying out an interview. You’ll develop your online presence through LinkedIn as its popularity as a recruitment tool for employers continues to grow.
You’ll also have the opportunity to complete the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) questionnaire, which is used to determine differing strengths and types of personalities. Being aware of your personal preferences is one step towards understanding yourself better and improving your relationships with others.
Finally, you have the opportunity to take part in a group exercise to practice your communication and decision making skills.
This programme will run on 25th, 26th, 27th and 28th July at 10:00am - 3:00pm.

Meet the Consultant
This four day programme is led by Joan Connolly, Postgraduate Employability and Careers Consultant at the Graduate School. Joan is a qualified Careers Adviser with over eighteen years relevant experience in Higher Education. She is also a qualified Myers Briggs Practitioner and brings a wealth of knowledge around this subject. In her role with the Graduate School, Joan develops and implements employability programmes to enhance students' personal and professional development. Prior to joining Queen’s, Joan worked in human resource management in the private sector, specialising in recruitment and selection.
