Meet the Consultants
Donna Hyland is Postgraduate Training and Development Manager at the Graduate School. Donna manages the team that develop, design and deliver various training and development programmes for both Postgraduate Taught and Postgraduate Research students at Queen’s, such as the Chartered Management Institute Level 7 Certificate in Strategic Leadership Practice, Master Your Leadership, and Develop Your Leadership. With a background in eLearning development, Donna is passionate about the use of technology in learning and has been instrumental in creating online learning and support materials for the Graduate School’s programmes.
Eimear O’Connor is Researcher Development Consultant at the Graduate School. With 10 years’ experience training and supervising people in a variety of academic and non-academic settings, Eimear enjoys working with others and helping them to develop new skills. Eimear has a PhD in Psychology from Queen’s and stayed with us to complete three years of postdoctoral research. Eimear’s previous experience before taking up her role at the Graduate School included working as an Associate Lecturer at the Open University, a Quality and Compliance Officer in Belfast Met and as a Senior Research Officer for the Northern Ireland Council for the Curriculum, Examinations & Assessment. Eimear has also worked in the private and voluntary sector.
