Reading groups are great for intellectual stimulation and expanding personal knowledge, but most importantly they are a social experience.
Join us each month for our Meet the Author series which showcases award-winning publications from students at Queen’s. During the event, you will have the unique opportunity of discussing the texts with the authors and putting your questions to them.
Joining us on the 26th October is Bebe Ashley. Bebe is a Northern Bridge funded PhD student who is currently working on a collection of poetry that charts her progress towards qualifying as a British Sign Language interpreter. She is most recently published in Poetry Ireland Review, Modern Poetry in Translation, Mslexia and Intertitles. In 2021, Bebe was longlisted for the Ivan Juritz Prize for Creative Experiment and awarded a Chair of Ireland Poetry Trust Award for her work in transcribing poetry into Braille. Her debut poetry collection Gold Light Shining was published by Banshee Press in Autumn 2020.
