YOU MUST REGISTER EVEN IF YOU WISH TO DEFER OR NOT ATTEND (i.e. IN ABSENTIA). YOU CANNOT REGISTER FOR GRADUATION UNTIL YOU HAVE BEEN AWARDED YOUR DEGREE.
Final year degree students will be provided with an electronic registration portal, accessible from QSIS provided a valid degree result has been published against your course. Please follow the navigation below to complete Graduation registration:
Self Service > Degree Progress/Graduation > Register for Graduation
This will take you into a page called “My Ceremony.”
Please complete the questions and then submit the details you have entered. Students with any Negative Service Indicators (suspensions) will not be able to register until the matter is resolved.
Once you have completed registration for Graduation, you must print out the Graduation Reference Page (link available after registration). This contains essential information regarding your Graduation. You will not be able to collect your gown without producing this page showing full payment.
Students who have a suspension on their account will not be able to register until the matter is resolved. If you have a suspension on your account you must contact the Graduation Helpline on 02890973223 or firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible.
Each graduand has the opportunity to purchase up to three guest tickets and four garden party tickets (except those Graduands from Stranmillis University College, who will be able to purchase up two guest tickets due to the size of the ceremony). Graduands will be notified if there are opportunities for additional tickets.
Graduands do not require a ticket to gain entry to the ceremony.

If you have successfully registered for Graduation before the deadline, you will be included in the Graduation/Ceremonial Programme. Your name and award will also be published in the newspapers. To check your final degree classification/result on QSIS follow the instructions below:
Main Menu > Self Service > Enrolment > View My Grades
If you are graduating in absentia, your parchment will be posted to your HOME address in August for Summer Graduations and January for Winter Graduations.
Please note: Parchments will not be posted until you have paid the £10 In Absentia charge. Please see the next section Information About Fees for further payment information
Any students who do not attend the Graduation ceremony will have their parchment posted in August for Summer Graduations and January for Winter Graduations.
Please ensure that you have paid the £10 In Absentia charge and ensure that your HOME address is up to date on your Qsis account.
You can update your address through your Qsis account Main Menu > Self Service > Campus Personal Information > Addresses
Want to collect your parchment?
Please ensure that you have paid the £10 In Absentia charge. You will not be able to collect the parchment until the graduation ceremony has finished.
Collection is from Information Desk, Level 1 Student Guidance Centre. We are open Monday to Fridays 9 - 5pm.
If you are nominating a friend to collect on your behalf, you must email your details and their name to email@example.com giving consent. Photographic ID will be requested upon collection.

If you do not register, you will automatically be registered as In Absentia and your parchment will be posted to you in August for Summer Graduations and January for Winter Graduations, after you have paid £10 In Absentia charge. Your HOME address on Qsis will be used for postage.
