About Tezpur

What is Tezpur?

In July 2019 a Memorandum of Agreement was signed between Queen’s University Belfast and Tezpur University in Assam, India, allowing sponsored graduates from Tezpur to apply for admission to a Collaborate Research Degree Programme at Queen’s University.

The agreement applies across all Schools/Faculties within Queen’s and is subject to normal entry requirements and also the availability of suitable projects and supervisors at both institutions.  Queen’s Study Regulations for Research Degree Programmes apply and Queen’s is responsible for the award of the PhD degree and the Graduation ceremony which will be held in Belfast.

There are currently 14 students on campus – 7 of whom have just entered their final year of study with the remaining 7 currently in their first year.  A cross disciplinary group, their profiles are available for viewing here.

This agreement is managed within Queen’s from the Postgraduate Research Solutions Centre which is based in the Graduate School.  For further information, please contact Lynne Spence at pgrsc@qub.ac.uk.
