Marie S. Curie Postdoctoral fellowship 2021-27
Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral fellowships are a great opportunity to boost researchers’ career through advanced training, international, interdisciplinary, and inter-sectoral mobility.

WHAT IS A MARIE S. CURIE POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP?
An experienced researcher (Fellow), of any nationality, develops a research project with a new supervisor based in Europe (host). The Fellow comes from any country in the world or moves within Europe. Moving country is compulsory. The application will address the fellow's training and career needs, including training on transferable skills, planning for publications and participation in conferences. Placements or secondments in non-academic environments is strongly encouraged.
The application is prepared by the fellow and supervisor who offers appropriate mentoring and support. Regular exchanges between the supervisor and the fellow are the backbone of a competitive application.
Indicative 2024 timeline:
- 10 April 2024: Launch of the call for proposals
- 11 September 2024: Deadline for submitting proposals
- February 2025: Notification of call results to applicants (TBC)
- April 2025: Grant agreement signature for successful projects (TBC)
- April 2025: First EU-funded projects start (TBC)
The Marie Skłodowska-Curie (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowship can enhance researchers' creative and innovative potential. It provides the fellows with the opportunity to:
- acquire and transfer new knowledge in their field of research and innovation in Europe
- enhance their skills and diversify their individual competences through advanced training
- expand their professional networks
- benefit from the experience of working within a new geographical region of Europe

To be eligible for a Marie S. Curie Postdoctoral fellowship, the fellow must:
- have an excellent CV
- have a PhD and a maximum of 8 years full-time research experience
- For European Fellowship: You must not have lived or worked in the UK for more than 12 months within the three-year period, prior to the closing date of the application.
The European Fellowship offers 12-24 months full-time research funding covering:

- Look at the list of supervisors based in Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences who are looking for a fellow
- Once you have identified a suitable supervisor, please complete and submit an interest form and send your CV to euoffice@qub.ac.uk by 15 April 2024.
- You will be notified of the selection results by 29 April 2024.
- If you are successful, you will be supported by our dedicated EU & Global Development Team to submit a competitive Marie S. Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship application by 11 September 2024.
