LATE APPLICATIONS AND UCAS EXTRA

Late applications: If you didn’t meet the 15th January UCAS deadline, you can still apply – UCAS will show which courses are available.  The final deadline for late applications is 30th June 2019.

UCAS Extra: Extra is another chance for you to gain a place at university or college, between 25 February and 4 July. If you've used all five choices on your application, and you're not holding any offers, you could still find a place using UCAS Extra.

COMPLETE YOUR APPLICATION

Once you’re registered with UCAS log in and start your application. You can complete your application form in stages if needed.

You’ll need to include the name and code of your chosen institutions. Queen's institution name: QBELF, code: Q75

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER YOU'VE SUBMITTED YOUR APPLICATION

You will receive a welcome email from UCAS and the University with details of how to use UCAS Track to see how your application is progressing.

Our admissions tutors will review your application and consider it in line with the Queen's University admissions policy, taking in to account your personal statement, your reference, evidence of relevant skills or aptitude and any special circumstances which affect your application.

RECEIVE THE OUTCOME OF YOUR APPLICATION

Our admissions tutors will let you know the outcome of your application by adding the decision to UCAS. You will be notified via email that there has been a change on your application, so you can log in to UCAS Track and view any changes/offers.

There are three possible outcomes:

  • conditional offer means you still need to meet the requirements – usually exam results
  • An unconditional offer means you've got a place, although there might still be a few things to arrange
  • An unsuccessful application means the university hasn’t been able to offer you a place on your chosen course

REPLYING TO YOUR OFFERS

Once your last offer is added to UCAS (if you’ve added more than one choice) you will receive an email from UCAS. You can then log back into Track and reply to your offers.

You can choose a university as your first choice (Firm), second choice (Insurance).

Deadline dates for responding to your offer will also appear in UCAS Track. Consider your options carefully and ensure you respond by the specified dates.
