This award is exclusively for new International students beginning their first year of full-time undergraduate study in Queen's University Belfast the following September who meet the conditions of their academic offer.

Year one award of £3500 (fee rate 1) or £4000 (fee rate 2) (Including advanced entry into Year 2 or Year 3)

No separate application for this scholarship is required. If you are holding an offer for an eligible programme and meet the criteria as set out in these terms & conditions, you will automatically be awarded an International Office Undergraduate Scholarship upon enrolment.


This award is exclusively for new International students beginning their first year of full-time postgraduate taught study at Queen's University Belfast at the start of the subsequent academic year who meet the conditions of their academic offer.

Year one award of £2000 (fee rate 1) or £3000 (fee rate 2). Queen's Business School postgraduate taught programmes will not be considered for this scholarship.

No separate application for this scholarship is required. If you are holding an offer for an eligible programme and meet the criteria as set out in these terms & conditions, you will automatically be awarded an International Office Postgraduate Taught Scholarship upon enrolment.


For Year 1 of study only

  • Who is Eligible: Alumni returning to an eligible programme at Queen's University Belfast. Available to eligible international students returning to study on a full-time undergraduate, postgraduate taught or postgraduate research programme. Exclusions apply.

Undergraduate students must be Exchange, Study Abroad or International Summer School students who have successfully completed the full duration of their previous programme at the Queen's University Belfast campus.

Postgraduate Taught students must be Queen's University Belfast Alumni, Exchange, Study Abroad, International Summer School or AHSS Winter School students who have successfully completed the full duration of their previous programme at the Queen's University Belfast campus.

Postgraduate Research students must be Queen's University Belfast Alumni, Exchange, Study Abroad, International Summer School or AHSS Winter School students who have successfully completed the full duration of their previous programme at the Queen's University Belfast campus.


The Queen’s Family Scholarship is a 20% reduction on first year gross tuition fees available exclusively to students who have been assessed as paying international tuition fee rates and are the children or siblings of Queen’s alumni or current Queen's University Belfast students, beginning a full duration eligible postgraduate programme at the Queen’s University Belfast campus in the subsequent academic year. Stepchildren and step siblings will also be eligible.

Students wishing to avail of the Queen’s Family Scholarship may be required to provide additional verification of their relationship to the current Queen’s University Belfast student or Queen’s University Belfast Alumni through whom they are claiming the scholarship.


Undergraduate Scholarship Value: 50% of tuition fees paid for up to a maximum of four years

  • Who is Eligible: Four exceptional new undergraduate international students enrolling on one of the specified full-time undergraduate programmes will receive this prestigious award.

Postgraduate Taught Scholarship Value: 50% of tuition fees paid for up to a maximum of two years

4 awards available.

  • Who is Eligible: Four exceptional new postgraduate international students enrolling on one of the specified full-time postgraduate taught programmes will receive this prestigious award.
  • Application Process: Video submission and online application required.

This award is available exclusively to students from schools in India who will be starting their full-time undergraduate degree at Queen's University Belfast at the start of the next academic year. Applicants must attain overall 85% or above in their 12th Grade to be eligible.

Online application is required for this scholarship. Eligible candidates are required to submit an essay of up to 750 words explaining why they want to study at Queen's University Belfast and how this programme will help them fulfil their career aspirations.


This award is exclusively for new international students beginning their first year of full-time study on the graduate entry Law Senior Status (LLB HONS) accelerated qualifying law degree at Queen's University Belfast in the subsequent academic year who meet the conditions of their academic offer.

No separate application for this scholarship is required. If you are holding an offer for graduate entry Law Senior Status (LLB HONS) accelerated qualifying law degree and meet the criteria as set out in these terms & conditions, you will automatically be awarded the LLB Senior Status International Scholarship upon enrolment.

All eligible international applicants will receive notification shortly after receiving their offer.


This merit-based award is exclusive to International Students who commenced a full-time and full duration undergraduate programme at the Queen’s University Belfast campus from September 2021 onwards.

Eligible students who achieve a 75% GPA in an academic year will be awarded a merit-based award following enrolment at the start of the subsequent academic year, with the exception of those who have programmes involving a placement year. Placement year students will receive their award following enrolment in the next academic year at which they will be studying at the Queen’s University Belfast campus.

Exceptional students who maintain a minimum GPA of 75% may receive this award in consecutive years.

A £1500 reduction in tuition fees is available to new international students beginning a full-time course who hold an unconditional offer and pay their net tuition fees by the appropriate deadlines.

Scholarships of £5000 available exclusively for outstanding international applicants from Latin America who choose to study postgraduate taught programmes at Queen’s Management School.

To qualify, you must meet the following criteria:

  • You must be a resident of Latin America.
  • Applicants must hold an offer to study a postgraduate taught programmes at Queen’s Management School.

 

 


Scholarships of £6000 available exclusively for outstanding international applicants from the Middle East and North Africa who choose to study postgraduate taught programmes at Queen’s Business School.

To qualify, you must meet the following criteria:

  • You must be a resident of Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Islamic Republic of Iran, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Liberia, Libya, Morocco Oman, Palestinian Territories, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Syrian Arab Republic, United Arab Emirates or Yemen.
  • Applicants must hold an offer to study a postgraduate taught programmes at Queen’s Business School.

 

 


Scholarships of £6000 available exclusively for outstanding international applicants from Angola, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gambia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, Sudan, Swaziland, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia or Zimbabwe who choose to study postgraduate taught programmes at Queen’s Business School.

 

 


Scholarships of £6000 available exclusively for outstanding international applicants from North America who choose to study postgraduate taught programmes at Queen’s Business School.

To qualify, you must meet the following criteria:

  • You must be a resident of either Canada or the United States of America.
  • Applicants must hold an offer to study a postgraduate taught programmes at Queen’s Business School.

 

 


Scholarships of £6000 available exclusively for applicants from South Asia studying postgraduate taught programmes at Queen’s Business School.

To qualify, you must meet the following criteria:

  • You must be a resident of either Bangladesh, India, Nepal or Sri Lanka.
  • Applicants must hold an offer to study a postgraduate taught programmes at Queen’s Business School.

 


Scholarships of £6000 available exclusively for outstanding international applicants from South East Asia who choose to study postgraduate taught programmes at Queen’s Business School.

To qualify, you must meet the following criteria:

  • You must be a resident of Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Myanmar, North Korea, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand or Vietnam.
  • Applicants must hold an offer to study a postgraduate taught programmes at Queen’s Business School.


Scholarships of £6000 available exclusively for applicants studying postgraduate taught programmes at Queen’s Business School from China.

To qualify, you must meet the following criteria:

  • You must be a resident of China Mainland, Hong Kong (SAR) or Macau (SAR).
  • Applicants must hold an offer to study a postgraduate taught programmes at Queen’s Business School.

 


Scholarships of £6000 available exclusively for outstanding international applicants from Europe and Central Asia studying postgraduate taught programmes at Queen’s Business School in the academic year 2024/25.

To qualify, you must meet the following criteria:

  • You must be a resident of either Europe or Central Asia.
  • Applicants must hold an offer to study a postgraduate taught programmes at Queen’s Business School.

 


New international students progressing from INTO Queen's with unconditional offers for the subsequent academic year may receive an INTO Progressors Scholarship which offers a reduction of £1500 on tuition fees when paying tuition fees in full* by the deadline.

NORTH AMERICA FUTURE LEADERS AWARD

4 awards of £5,000 towards tuition fees for the first year of undergraduate study

At Queen’s we offer a world-class education that prepares our students for leadership and citizenship in a global society. This award is available to students from the USA and Canada who will be starting a full-time undergraduate degree at Queen’s University Belfast. The award is for high achieving students who can also demonstrate a commitment to leadership within their local or global community.

  • £5,000 reduction in year 1 tuition fees
  • Automatic appointment as North America student ambassador

There are up to 20 full PhD scholarships available for candidates starting their studies in the subsequent academic year. Applicants currently in the first year of a PhD programme at Queen's in the current academic year may also apply, if they meet the eligibility requirements (including academic criteria and English language).

Scholarship Value: Full tuition for eligible one year postgraduate taught programmes and a single room in Queen's accommodation
  • Who is Eligible: Applicants with Palestinian nationality who live in Gaza or the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and belong to a family normally resident there.

This award has been created in memory of the late Norman Houston, friend of Queen’s and former Director of the Northern Ireland Bureau in the USA.

During his tenure leading the diplomatic mission to North America, Mr Houston was a universally respected and admired diplomat. He was also a strong supporter and advocate of Queen’s, supporting a wide range of youth development and leadership programmes. It is a great honour for the University to remember Norman Houston through the establishment of ‘The Norman Houston- Study Northern Ireland Award’.

1 award will be provided each academic year to provide a full tuition-fee and accommodation waiver for an exceptional visiting (Study Abroad) student from the USA.

We are delighted to offer a full scholarship to a student who is a registered asylum-seeker in the UK, and who will be starting a full-time one-year postgraduate taught Master’s course at Queen’s University Belfast in the new academic term.

The scholarship will cover the cost of tuition and provide an £8,000 award to support costs associated with education and attending university for each year of study for the duration of the programme.

Scholarships of £6000 available exclusively for outstanding international applicants from Pakistan who choose to study postgraduate taught programmes at Queen’s Business School.

To qualify, you must meet the following criteria:

  • You must be a resident of Pakistan
  • Applicants must hold an offer to study a postgraduate taught programmes at Queen’s Business School.

This award is available exclusively to students from GEMS schools in the UAE and Qatar who will be starting a full-time undergraduate degree at Queen's University Belfast the following September.

This award is offered in memory of our esteemed and much missed colleague Ashish Vats.
  • Who is Eligible:  Applicants from India studying MSc Educational Leadership at Queen's University Belfast in 2024/25, who are unable to study abroad through the finances of their immediate family.
  • Award Value: The Scholarship will cover international tuition fees for a taught masters in MSc Educational Leadership
