Early Confirmation Award

  • What is the Early Confirmation Award?

    A £1500 reduction in tuition fees is available to new international students beginning a full-time course in the academic year 2023/24 who hold an unconditional offer and pay 90% of net tuition fees by the following deadlines:

    Postgraduate Taught unconditional offer holders 31 August 2023

    Postgraduate Research unconditional offer holders not later than 90 days before the start date given in their offer letter

  • How do I qualify for the Early Confirmation Award?

    You must comply with all the following conditions by the appropriate deadline:

    • Be a new student enrolling at Queen's University Belfast for the first time
    • Have an unconditional offer
    • Pay 90% of your net tuition fees by the appropriate deadline:

    Postgraduate Taught unconditional offer holders 31 August 2023

    Postgraduate Research unconditional offer holders not later than 90 days before the start date given in their offer letter

  • How much do I need to pay to qualify for the Early Confirmation Award if I'm a postgraduate taught applicant?

  • Is there a deadline for the Early Confirmation Award?

     Postgraduate Taught unconditional offer holders should pay by 31 August 2023 to receive the award.

     Postgraduate Research unconditional offer holders should pay not later than 90 days before the start date given in their offer letter

     

     

     

Which scholarships are available for PGR?

  • I am a POSTGRADUATE RESEARCH applicant - which scholarships are available to me?

    Queen's Loyalty Scholarship, for Queen’s University alumni - Application required. Applicants must have successfully completed the full duration of their previous programme with Queen’s University Belfast. 

    Queen's Family Scholarship, for children, grandchildren or siblings of current Queen’s University Belfast students or Queen’s University Belfast Alumni - Application required. The scholarship may only be claimed by students whose grandparent, parent or sibling is currently pursuing, or has already completed, a full duration* undergraduate or postgraduate programme at Queen's University Belfast. (*All years of programme must be completed at Queen’s University Belfast).

    Early Confirmation Award, for unconditional offer holders paying tuition fees in full not later than 90 days before the start date given in their offer letter. Where eligible this can be combined with another International Office administered scholarship to increase the value of your award.

    Applications open shortly for the Queen's Loyalty and Family Scholarships.

  • How do I apply for International Office Scholarships?

    Application is required for the Queen's Loyalty and Queen's Family Scholarship, but you should only do this after you have been offered a place to study on your chosen programme.

  • What are the values of International Office Scholarships available for a postgraduate research classroom based fee rate 1 programme?

    Fee rate 1 programmes are classroom based and have a tuition fee of £18,900 for 2024/25 

    Queen's Loyalty Scholarship or Queen's Family Scholarship 20% reduction on tuition fees
     
    Early Confirmation Award a £1500 reduction on tuition fees for unconditional offer holders paying net tuition fees by the deadline.
