Honorary Degree Ceremony - Hillary Rodham Clinton

All Staff email regarding the Honorary Degree Ceremony for Hillary Rodham Clinton

Dear Colleague

I am delighted to announce that former US Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton is to receive an honorary degree from Queen’s.

Secretary Clinton will be awarded the degree of Doctor of Laws (LLD) for her exceptional public service in the USA and globally, and for her outstanding contribution to peace and reconciliation in Northern Ireland.

The Honorary Degree Ceremony will take place on Wednesday, 10 October 2018 from 4.00 – 5.30pm in the Whitla Hall and will include an address by Secretary Clinton.

This will be a memorable day for our University and I would like staff and students to be able to share in it. If you would like to attend the ceremony, please register at the following link:

Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. We expect a high demand for this event. You will receive an email next week to let you know if you have secured a place.

I look forward to seeing many of you on 10 October 2018.

With best wishes

Ian
