You are invited to attend a showcase event for postgraduate research opportunities available within the School of Medicine, Dentistry and Biomedical Sciences:

Basement Seminar Room, Patrick G Johnson Centre for Cancer Research

This event will include:

  • an overview of research facilities and opportunities offered within the School’s research centres;
  • information on support offered to prospective research students (applying for funding, visa requirements, etc.); and
  • a chance to network with academic staff after the main talks.

Students studying at postgraduate taught level often choose to undertake a postgraduate research degree to expand their knowledge in a particular area, develop new skills, and increase their competitiveness for future employment.

School of Medicine, Dentistry and Biomedical Sciences | PhD

The School of Medicine, Dentistry and Biomedical Sciences trains numerous PhD students in the areas of Cancer Research, Experimental Medicine and Public Health.

Its diverse PhD student population comprises both basic and clinical scientists from across the globe engaged in wide-ranging research projects spanning the breadth of the School’s research portfolio from bioinformatics through molecular and cell biology to clinical trials.
