The Innovateher Programme is an enterprise programme open to female students at Queen’s, offering those from a range of disciplines the opportunity to learn how to start a business.  The programme offers 13 weekly sessions, where specialist speakers cover areas such as business idea generation, business planning, marketing, finance and effective pitching.  Female entrepreneurs are also invited to deliver inspiring talks to the group, as well as providing mentoring support to the participants.

All participants complete the programme by submitting a comprehensive business model canvas for their idea, and delivering a pitch to a panel of female business leaders. Prizes were awarded to a number of the students, including Morven Ross, Sherlly Alceus and Alana Keery, pictured above with Roseann Kelly, CEO of Women in Business (second right).

The students and guests at the celebration event heard from inspiring role models, such as Aisling McGibbon of PWC, one of the sponsors of the programme, and Rachel Powell, Student Officer for Equality and Diversity, Queen's Students' Union.

Innovateher is an initiative of Enterprise SU, a Social Charter Signature Project coming under the Social Charter theme 'Breaking Boundaries to Produce New Knowledge'.
