Over ten thousand visitors enjoyed the sunshine and attractions in the grounds of the City Hall, and joined students from China, India, Vietnam, Egypt, Hong Kong, United Arab Emirates, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Bahrain and Norway at the Queen’s University stand.

Visitors were able to mark a map of the world, showing their place of origin, and by the end of the day there were dozens of stickers across the whole map, showing just how global today’s Belfast is.

The Queen’s students were delighted to welcome Councillor Nuala McAlister, Lord Mayor of Belfast to the stall. The Lord Mayor and her family enjoyed the global-themed photo booth, and met the Queen’s International Student Support mascot, ‘Globetrotter’ (pictured).

‘Civic Culture and Intercultural Dialogue’ is a theme of the Social Charter.
