Privy Council Notes:
- 'reported to her majesty in council and approved and ordered to be engrossed, wherein certain premiums are allowed in the respective counties where the said manufacture shall be erected. It is this day ordered by her majesty in council that the right honourable the lord high treasurer do prepare a letter for her majesty’s royal signature signifying her majesty’s pleasure to his excellency the lord lieutenant of Ireland, that the said premiums be paid out of the present allowances made on the establishment of that kingdom for the encouraging the said linen manufacture.' (24 Sept. 1707, PC 2/81, p. 464).

Recommends public bills, 'believing them to be consistent with the dependence of this kingdom on the crown of Great Britain. And if in anything they differ from the laws and customs of England, it is in cases that require a peculiar remedy and proper for the circumstances of this country...'.
