Title To establish the business of a pawnbroker, and to authorize such persons as shall be duly qualified to carry on the same to lend money on pawns or pledges, and to receive interest at a higher rate than heretofore was recoverable by law.
Variant Title(s) To regulate the trade of pawnbrokers, and to enable them to take a higher interest for sums under £10 than £6 per cent per annum. [11 Apr.]
