GECO►C was founded in 2005 and is specialized in the development and test of innovative control and optimization systems for highly non-linear environmental systems, such as biogas and wastewater treatment plants. The aim is to increase plant efficiency and reduce operating costs by applying sophisticated data analysis and CI methods. Furthermore, GECO►C performs field tests on new available online-measurement systems for environmental processes and develops its own online-measurement systems. CUAS has over 10 years of experience in the area of automation of wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) and five years in the biogas sector with focus on the application of Soft Computing and Intelligent Control Strategies for the optimisation of plant operation.

Technical expertise available to ATBEST fellows through CUAS includes:

  • Lab-scale bioreactors
  • Highly specified data analysis and software development suite
  • On-line monitoring laboratory suite
  • Laser particle size analysis capability
