Conan McIvor is a filmmaker and video artist, he makes short films, documentaries, video installations, immersive environments and video works for exhibition, theatre and live performance, often mediated within site-specific presentations. To date, his work has been exhibited locally and internationally in a variety of exciting venues including a disused police station, freight container and sonic lab as well as traditional gallery spaces, international film festivals, national theatres, off-Broadway performances and broadcast on national television, he also has work held in Arts Council Northern Ireland permanent collection. Conan attended the University of Ulster, where he studied Interactive Multimedia Design before receiving an MA in Film and Visual Studies from Queen’s University Belfast in 2007 for which he was awarded Northern Ireland Screen’s Bill Miskelly Award. Conan has taught film practice at Queen’s since 2012.
