The Centre for International Borders Research is an interdisciplinary centre for empirical, comparative and theoretical study of international borders and border regions.
Being centred in Northern Ireland, we are particularly well-placed to research the connections between border reconfiguration and conflict transformation at various levels, as this brief QTV video by Dr Cathal McCall of CIBR outlines.
Based at Queen's University Belfast, it builds on Northern Ireland's advantages for border study and the research interests of a core group of academic staff from the disciplines of anthropology, geography, political science and sociology.
