Jinnan earned her degree of Bachelor of Medicine (Preventive Medicine Direction) at Tianjin Medical University in China and She came to study in UK as an exchange student of Medicine at University of Dundee in 2013. While in Dundee, she developed an interest in Epidemiology and statistics which she pursued with Msc in Medicine in the Division of Population Health Sciences of University of Dundee, graduating in October 2015. A specific interest in Genetic Epidemiology led her to start her PhD in the Genetic Epidemiology Research Group at the Centre for Public Health at Queen’s University Belfast. The project she is currently working on aims to look for genetic biomarkers associated with diabetic kidney disease through a novel research.
