After completing a PhD in nutrition at Queen’s University Belfast, Sarah was employed as a Research Assistant at the Centre for Public Health, Queen’s University Belfast. Sarah’s research focuses on investigating novel means of encouraging dietary behaviour change. Her post has entailed working on the Life with diabetes project, involving dissemination and evaluation of a lifestyle management app for individuals with type 2 diabetes. This research will be of interest to type 2 diabetes patients and healthcare professionals involved in their care. Sarah’s post has also included analysing a feasibility study to investigate the use of a reward system to improve food intake in schools. This research is aimed at schools, school pupils and their parents/ guardians.
