Oscar Odena

Before managing the JLICED he coordinated the Consulting Pupils on the Assessment of their Learning Project, funded by the UK Economic and Social Research Council, www.cpal.qub.ac.uk. At Queen’s Oscar has worked on a number of projects, including evaluations of afterschool literacy and pro-social programmes in Tallaght West, Dublin (Atlantic Philanthropies), Evaluation of the ‘Time to Read’ Mentoring Programme (Business in the Community) and Music as a Way to Address Social Inclusion and Respect for Diversity (Bernard van Leer Foundation). His research interests include teaching and learning, qualitative research methods, inclusion, creativity and music education. He is a member of a number of editorial, commission and assessment boards, and some of his conference papers can be accessed through Education-line. [In September 2009 he moved to the School of Education, University of Brighton]
