Prof. Aileen Stockdale

Aileen is a Principal Investigator on the project. She is a Professor in Environmental Planning at Queen’s University Belfast. Her research interests are migration and its consequences for rural communities and demographic ageing in rural areas.

Dr. Lorna Philip

Lorna is a Co-investigator on the project. She is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Geography and Environment at the University of Aberdeen. Her main area of research interest is rural socio-economic development with a particular focus on social exclusion.m

Dr. Marsaili MacLeod

Marsaili is a full-time Research Fellow on the project. She is based at Queen’s University, Belfast. Her research interests are concerned with concepts of place, identity and belonging in the context of social change in rural areas.

Anne Findlay

Anne is a research associate on the project. She is a Research Fellow and member of the Institute for Retail Studies at the University of Stirling. She has expertise in GIS and data manipulation.
