Understanding OWSC hydrodynamics through the physical testing of equation of motion terms

PhD Description

Oscillating Wave Surge Converters (OWSC) are bottom hinged flap type wave power devices that couple with the amplified surge motion of water particles in the near shore region. 

The objective of my project is to conduct a series of physical experiments which will evaluate the terms of the OWSC’s equation of motion with a view to improving the understanding of its hydrodynamics.
