CESI’s Local Community Partners Seek Solutions for Young People during Period of Civil Tension

Just after Easter, CESI’s community partners in Market Development Association met with other youth groups in South Belfast to discuss the return of youth services following recent community tensions across the north.

Just after Easter, CESI’s community partners in Market Development Association met with other youth groups in South Belfast to discuss the return of youth services following recent community tensions across the north.  Youth services resumed on 12 April and youth leaders have appealed to young people and their parents and guardians to maintain their safety and security and to avoid any potentially unsafe situations.  Parents and guardians were urged to ensure that they knew their children’s movements during this period of instability.

CESI continues to support the work of its community partners in maintaining community safety and cohesion, especially during such times of civil unrest, and welcomes the return of services to young people which make a positive impact in their lives.
